The term Monolithics refers to unshaped products which have to be installed prior to be ceramic bonded in situ, at working temperature.

Saint-Gobain SEFPRO has developed a comprehensive range of Monolithics, as side products to be utilized with Saint-Gobain SEFPRO fused cast and sintered product lines.

The main applications of these Monolithics are :

- Furnace bottom and feeder channel safety layers. Depending on the type of glass production, different type of materials are proposed :

• Fused Cast AZS grain basis ERSOL® 50 CAST
• Fused Cast Alumina grain basis ERGAL® 50 CAST
• Chromium Oxide basis ERCHROM CAST range
• Zircon-Silicate Ramming Mix ERZIR RAM
  

- Ramming mixes as safety layers in specific applications and for cold a hot repairs
- Cements and mortars for interface between differents products and for bricks jointing

Saint-Gobain SEFPRO has developed these products specifically for glass applications, taking into account, as usual, the fact that glass quality is the final objective.
