How innovative regenerator monitoring coupled to CRUCIFORMS® thermal performances will increase and maintain glass furnace efficiency?

In glass industry, flame furnace thermal performance is significantly linked to regenerator efficiency, as fumes and exhaust gases losses concern more than 30% of the total energy balance. 

From long time experience SEFPRO, with the support of regen simulation software and experimental pilot regenerator , developed since many years high performance solutions based on fused cast CRUCIFORMS®  packing. 

  • We will discuss the combination of specific pieces geometry that are able to give the highest energy recovery performance and the chemical composition range that ensure long packing lifetime

  • We will also disclose the new composition able to use high level of external cruciform cullet to keep sustainable adapted solution.

Moreover, with SEFPRO commitment to support glass industry digitalization, original monitoring solution of regenerators has been developed, we will discover how this new digital technology is able to maintain at the highest level the thermal performance during furnace lifetime allowing to keep the benefit of CRUCIFORMS®   solution packing.
