Repair Hot Overcoat CHROM50
Unshaped refractory with 44% Cr₂O₃ designed for hot repairs in glass furnaces

Composed of 5mm maximum grains coupled with an innovative solid solution of chromic oxide and alumina provides unique corrosion resistance for glass and vapor attacks. It can be cast in a range of temperatures from 100°C to 1,500°C (212°F-2,732°F), either in contact with refractories or metallic forms.
This product is recommended for glass wool, rock wool, and even for some applications in the container glass industry.
Typical application
Repair Hot Overcoat CHROM50 is a self-flowing castable with 44% chromic oxide (Cr₂O₃), designed for hot repair operations in container, flat, and insulation glass furnaces. It is particularly suited for:
- Superstructure
- Bottom
- Sidewall
