Repair Hot Overcoat Fused Silica is an unshaped product dedicated to furnace hot and cold repairs. It can be cast or shotcreted in a range of temperatures from 12°C to 1,600°C (53.6°F-2,892°F) either in contact with refractories or metallic forms. It can also be cast at room temperature.
It is perfectly suited for hot and cold repairs of silica crowns.
Typical application
Repair Hot Overcoat Fused Silica, based on high-purity amorphous silica grains, is designed for hot repairs in container, flat, and insulation glass furnaces. It is suitable for:
- Superstructures
- Bottoms
- Sidewalls
- Crowns
