Description

Made of alumina-zirconia-silica (AZS) grains. High corrosion resistance to alkali or boron vapours. Available in complex and large shapes.

Typical application

PROMOLD is manufactured with alumina-zirconia-silica (AZS) grains providing a good corrosion resistance to alkali or boron vapours. Used in :

  • forehearth superstructure subject to high corrosion such as sodalime coloring zone and insulation glass fiber,
  • frits and enamel furnaces superstructure including crown,
  • and burner block.

If mortar is required, use PROMOLD MORTAR.

Storage

Bonded alumina-zirconia-silica (AZS) with 30% zirconia, PROMOLD solution must be stored in a dry environment protected from weather conditions.
